Job Summary
As a Bartender and/or Waitress at The Placencia Resort, you will be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service to guests in our dining and bar areas. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with the hospitality team to maintain the resort’s high standards.
Waitress
Greet and seat guests promptly, providing menus and sharing daily specials. Take accurate food and beverage orders, ensuring dietary preferences and special requests are communicated to the kitchen. Deliver food and drinks to tables efficiently, maintaining high service standards. Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns promptly. Clear tables, reset for new guests, and assist with side duties as needed.
Qualification
- Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a bartender, waitress, or in a similar hospitality role.
- Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or bartending certification is an asset.
