Job Summary
As a Bartender and/or Waitress at The Placencia Resort, you will be responsible for providing outstanding food and beverage service to guests in our dining and bar areas. You will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborating with the hospitality team to maintain the resort’s high standards.
Bartender Duties
Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, wines, and beers, adhering to recipes and presentation standards.
Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Manage bar inventory, restock supplies, and report shortages to management.
Engage with guests, offering drink recommendations and creating a welcoming atmosphere.
Handle cash and credit transactions accurately, including processing payments and tips.
Qualification
Minimum of 1–2 years of experience as a bartender, waitress, or in a similar hospitality role.
Knowledge of mixology, cocktail preparation, and beverage service standards.
Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Fluency in English; Spanish is a plus.
Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and cash handling.
Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent; hospitality or bartending certification is an asset.
