Job Description
A leading international licensed investment firm regulated by the Financial Services Commission under the Securities Industry Act, Laws of Belize, is seeking a Securities Representative. The Securities Representative will be responsible for carrying out securities activities in compliance with regulatory standards and maintaining a relationship with all key stakeholders of the business and representing the business to the FSC.
Securities Representative
• Type: Permanent, Full-time position
• Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
• Location: 28 Regent Street, Belize City, Belize
Role Responsibilities
• Carry out day to day securities activities and maintain a relationship with all key stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with all FSC regulations and the Securities Industry Act of Belize.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market developments and regulatory changes.
• Ensure proper record-keeping and reporting of transactions and client communications.
• Safeguard client assets and maintain strict confidentiality.
• Act in the best interest of the Firm and uphold its reputation.
• Training and educating the staff of the Firm in respect with the securities function.
• Working on related changes to the Firm’s documentation for securities.
Role Qualifications
• BSc/MSc in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Law or related field.
• Professional Qualification relevant to securities, investment operations, risk management or related field.
• At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in the securities, finance or investment industry. Experience must demonstrate sufficient understanding of securities products, markets and regulations.
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Eligible to reside and work in Belize.
• Fluent knowledge of the English Language (Written & Spoken).
