Job Description

Job Responsibilities Include:

  • Manage local purchases, purchases ledger and uploading payments to bank online portals
  • Input all information into CAT accounting software program to update all local payables accounts
  • Maintain GST receivable ledger
  • File GST and business tax using the IRIS portal

 

Prepare bi-monthly payroll

  • Prepare monthly PAYE and Social Security reporting and payment
  • Execute employees pay deductions for repayment of employee loans
  • Update accounting software program with payroll information
  • Prepare employees annual bonus
  • Prepare employees TD4s and submit to BTS
  • Oversee security and manage their work schedules
  • Track employes absences, sick leave and social security claims
  • Manage employees insurance
  • Manage electronic general ledger
  • Balance monthly trial balance for presentation to Financial Controller
  • Generate monthly and annual financial statements from electronic general ledger
  • Prepare weekly cash flow as related to local payments and purchases
  • Assist with the electronic compilation of annual financial forecast and budget information
  • Initiate and track prepayments needed
  • Book and collect miscellaneous other receivables (non-sale receivables)
  • Post all payments made to banks and allocate the costs to expenses
  • Prepare all online and check payments
  • Verify and check cashiers and daily deposit
  • Co-manage customs broker billings and allocation of the expenses
  • Manage Cores inventory receivables
  • Manage warranty receivable
  • Manage jobs and installations WIP
  • Manage accounting for all expenses
  • Manage fuel usage for Company vehicles
  • Post petty cash vouchers
  • Manage monthly accruals
  • Maintain fixed asset schedule and prepare monthly depreciation entries
  • Manage assets insurance coverage and expenses
  • Administrative tasks as assigned

 

Qualifications:

The individual must possess knowledge and experience in the financial accounting processing and reporting of a Company as well as the reporting functions for Belize Tax Service, Social Security Board, and payroll functions. He / She must be adept at balancing transactions and record keeping, must be a dedicated mature meticulous individual that maintains a high level of focus and retains great organizational, customer service and written as well as oral communication skills.

Requirements:

The individual must possess an associate degree, preferably in business with an accounting background. Solid relative experience is a substitute. Computer skills must include knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience in using accounting software programs would be a major asset.
