- Summary:
- The U.S. Mission in Belize is seeking eligible and qualified applicants for the Information Technology (IT) Administrator in the Diplomatic Technology (DT) office.
The work schedule for this position is: Full Time (40 hours per week).
This position is being advertised with the experience for education substitution option.

Duties
This involves providing technical support to customers through multiple channels, conducting system analysis and configuration management, and operating systems with a post-wide impact level.  Collaborates with cross-functional teams to address complex technical issues.  Assists in network security measures, conduct system audits for compliance, and educates users on information security best practices.  Participates in DT initiatives and fulfillment of other assigned duties round out the role, emphasizing a comprehensive approach to IT administration and support.
Qualifications and Evaluations
- Requirements:
- All selected candidates must be able to obtain and hold a security certificate.
All selected candidates will be subject to a background investigation and may be subject to a pre-employment medical exam.
Selected candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time upon receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

REQUIREMENTS:Â FOR THE EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS APPLICANTS MUST MEET EITHER OPTION 1 OR 2 TO QUALIFY.
Option 1
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of two years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.
EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, library and data science/analytics, or audio/visual communications and technology is required.
OR
Option 2
EXPERIENCE: A minimum of four years of experience in computer networking operations, network management or utilization of computer systems.
EDUCATION: Associate’s degree in computer science, information systems, electrical engineering, library and data science/analytics, or audio/visual communications and technology is required.
There is NO CHANGE to the position grade, and applicants who meet either set of requirements (Option 1 or Option 2) are considered qualified.
