Job Description

Copal Tree Distillery Ltd is an award-winning, world-class, certified organic rum distillery in the Toledo District. The distillery creates premium organic rum in an eco-conscious facility using native heirloom sugarcane. We are inviting qualified persons to submit applications for the position of Electrical Technician.

 

Job Scope: The Electrical Technician plays a crucial role in safe and efficient operation of electrical systems. Responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks, from installation and maintenance to troubleshooting and repair. The Electrical Technician will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work as part of the maintenance team with primary focus on electrical maintenance.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining existing electrical systems by identifying and preventing potential problems
  • Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctions in equipment, machinery, or systems
  • Identifying and replacing faulty components
  • Installing new electrical systems in an industrial setting
  • Assisting with a preventative maintenance plan for the electrical system
  • Maintain accurate records of electrical work completed

 

Requirement:

The person must hold an electrical license with a minimum of 5 years’ experience.

 

Additional experience & skills that would be valuable:

  • PLC problem solving
  • Industrial background
  • Trouble shooting skills
  • Familiar with 3 phase motors and VFD drives
  • Ability to design improvement and cost cutting solutions
  • Mechanical trouble shooting skills
  • Hands on and out of the box approach
