Production Worker I
Job Summary:
We are looking for a hard-working production wood Worker to assist in the manufacturing process. The Production Worker’s responsibilities include keeping the production area clean, preparing machinery and equipment for use, working the production line as instructed, and strictly following health and safety
guidelines.
To be successful as a production worker you should be able to work on the production line with consistent speed and accuracy. An outstanding production worker will have previous woodworking experience and should be able to maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.
Primary Responsibilities:
● Following health and safety standards.
● Maintaining a clean workstation and production floor.
● Assembling products and parts.
● Following production guidelines and specifications.
● Finalizing and packaging products for shipment.
● Operating and maintaining machinery and production line equipment.
● Monitoring the assembly line and removing faulty products.
● Working on the production line and meeting production targets.
● Reporting any issues to the supervisor on duty.
● Performing other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
● Previous experience in woodworking either by apprenticeship or trade school.
● Experience operating manufacturing machinery.
● Able to work as part of a team.
● Good communication skills.
● Basic math skills.
● Physical dexterity (skill and ease in using the hands or mental skill or quickness.).
● Available for extended hours.
Probation, Hours and Wages:
● Operational hours: 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
● Expected annual salary (first year): $13,967 Belize Dollars.
● Salary adjustments based on performance.
● Probationary period: First sixty workdays with basic flat wages.
○ Probationary Wages Bracket: Bracket 1: Entry-level candidates – $5.00/hour.
Application Process:
The hiring committee will review resumes and, if suitable, schedule a site visit. During the unpaid one-day “Site Visit,” applicants will be assessed for their skills, and abilities. The site visit allows applicants familiarity with the company and its goals. Successful applicants will be notified within 3 weeks of their site visit.
